We are currently searching for a Recruiter to coordinate company-wide full cycle recruitment in order to achieve our staffing objectives.  Reporting to the HR Manager, the Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.  An essential element of this position is the ability to conduct effective interviews using competency based models.  The ideal candidate will have one to two years experience with full cycle recruitment, with a human resources background as an asset.  This is a six month contract with the opportunity to become permanent.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consult with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills
  • Prepare and post job advertisements
  • Collect, screen, and evaluate applicants to determine their suitability for the position
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment
  • Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews
  • Interview job applicants in conjunction with the HR Manager and the appropriate department head
  • Conduct reference checks on potential applicants
  • Notify applicants of results of the selection process and prepare job offers
  • Onboard new employees and perform new hire orientations
  • Update and maintain the various project schedules
  • Utilize multiple recruitment techniques, including the use of job boards, social media, and personal networking to find suitable candidates
  • Coordinate hiring through Recruitment Agencies and track and record employee hours
  • Update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Conduct regular follow-up with Supervisors to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
  • Develop and maintain a database of qualified candidates in advance of need
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition
  • Update and maintain the Applicant Tracking System
  • Assist with other HR duties as directed by the HR Manager


  • One to two years of experience with full cycle recruitment
  • Post-secondary education in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience with an HRIS and ATS system is strongly preferred
  • Outstanding interview skills and strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with different managers, candidate personalities, etc.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (including Word, Excel, & Outlook)
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills are essential
  • Ability to update and maintain accurate records
  • RPR and/or CHRP is considered an asset
  • Ability to handle employee information and data with confidentiality
